This is a small-ish, step-by-step guide for people who don't know how to take/upload a screenshot of your Protocol Freebuild creation!
Step 1: Take the screenshot!
You can take a screenshot in a couple of ways. If you are playing on the official Minecraft.net websie, you will have to use the print screen button, located here on your keyboard:
Simply press this button then move onto step 2.
Step 2: Saving the screenshot!
Now that you have taken the screenshot, open up Paint (or any other editing software you may use) and press CTRL + V (the paste command) to paste the screenshot into the space. Once you have done this, you can edit the picture and crop it if you wish, but this is optional.
Once you have changed it to how you like, click save and save it to somewhere easy to find. (for exmaple your desktop)
Step 3: Uploading the picture!
There are many image hosting sites you can use to upload your pictures, imgur is a really quick and easy one to use, but if you prefer here is a list of a few others:
IMGUR: www.imgur.com/
TINYPIC: www.tinypic.com
IMAGE SHACK: www.imageshack.us/
PHOTO BUCKET: www.photobucket.com
Once you are on one of the sites, click the browse or choose file button and locate the file that you saved earlier. Once located, select it and click the Upload button on the site. Once the upload is complete move onto step 4.
Step 4: Putting your picture into your application!
Once the upload has completed, you should be on a page that has a list of codes. You need the pictures "direct link", once you have it copy it (CTRL + C) and then paste it (CTRL + V) into your new application topic. It should then look like this: i.imgur.com/lMvQN.png
If you would like the image to be shown as a picture on the forum like this:
You simply put this in front of the link:
And this behid the link:
I hope this helps if you need it!
